Welcome to MakeroverVille, where anyone can be themselves! I was inspired by the downfall of the Hollywood makeover, wherein the satisfying yet somewhat offensive sequence of young white girls with curly hair and glasses suddenly become the prettiest bell of the ball after straightening their hair, putting in contacts and dressing up in hyper feminine clothes. The beauty industry undeniably preys on the insecurities of people, but individuals have found themselves seeing clothing and makeup as forms of self expressions— Everyone has their own definition of their "true self" whether it's full glam, bare faced, or anything in between.
